The Mexican muralism is considered one of the most powerful and original artistic movements of the 20th century. Inspired both by the Renaissance frescoes and European avant-garde movements such as futurism, dadaism, cubism, surrealism or Soviet monumentalism, the muralists created a unique style that could only be expressed by the Mexican genius.
